Work on the House

Since I have started school, the work on the house has slowed down alot.  Since last time I posted on it we have finished framing, taken out some walls, built some walls, wrapped the house to be ready for siding , put new doors in, and have started sheetrocking in the bedroom and bathroom.  Here are some pictures of what has been done!

Happy Rhythm's Reunion/ Mamaw's Birthday

So most of you know my Grandmother, she has been there for me my whole life and has been one of my best friends next to my mother.  She has been suffering with cancer in her bones for over a year now so she has been in bad shape lately.  Her birthday was this past weekend and she turned 73! Since she was the age of 12 she has been singing and playing the piano to gospel music and been in many gospel groups.  One that is known as a legend in our community is know as the Happy Rhythm's.  They were made up of some awesome people, singers, and musicians. Most people that know her, know her for her talent on the piano, she can play like no one I have ever heard, she is amazing. This year would have been 60 years my grandmother was involved in gospel music so the guys that sang in the Happy Rhythms decided to do a tribute concert for my grandmother, seeing how she has been in bad health and they didn't think she would be able to play or sing.  Well we told my grandmother about just having a concert and she was fine with that, she had no idea it was in tribute to her and all that she had done. She practiced for weeks and shocked us all by doing this and she did very well. So when Saturday night came for the concert there was a packed house of people waiting for a Happy Rhythm Reunion concert.  They sang a few songs which was wonderful!! Then they surprised my Mamaw by telling her that , that night was all about her and in tribute to her.  They had a slide show and everything to honor her.  She was so shocked and of course we all cried.  She is such an amazing woman and I am so thankful for this last chance to hear this group play.  After 12 years of not playing they had everyone crying and cheering because of there accomplishments and their amazing gift to praise the lord. Here are some pictures of the night!

I am so lucky to have a grandma like mine and I wish her the best Birthday ever!

Updates Galore!!

Ok so where do i begin??? Last time i posted we had started on the addition to our house and I will get to more of that later but first back in the last week of July we had vacation to Branson, Mo.

Vacation:
So we went to Branson and took my niece and nephew Brody and Riley. We stayed at this awesome hotel with a water park and an arcade which was awesome it had all kinds of cool things to do.

The first day we were there we went to The Track parks which is go kart parks with all kinds of different things to do besides just go karts. We also went to the Titanic Museum and it was really cool we all recommend going!  We had a blast there as well! Then that night we went to the Landing and ate with some of Corey's family then went to the Liverpool Legends show which is a tribute band to the Beatles made up by George Harrison's sister Louise which we got to meet. (We had the hook up!!!)  This was all of our favorite part of the trip! We are all huge Beatles fans!

After our night out to see the Liverpool Legends. the next day was Silver Dollar City...be prepared to laugh at these photos lol!!

As you can see by our faces we were having a blast ...or at least some of us! lol

The next day was the day we went home but not before Joe's Crab Shack and Old Time Photos!

We had one of the best vacations ever, especially since we got to take some of our favorite little ones!
